Every other page here answers which discipline. This one answers the question underneath it: could I do the work, and would I enjoy it? Three ways in — play with the idea at the centre of each discipline, sit the maths a first year assumes, and see how much of the degree is your A-levels continued.

These are the real relationships, computed live: overload the beam and watch it yield, raise the compression ratio and watch efficiency climb into the knock limit, push the wing past fifteen degrees and watch the lift collapse. If pulling these apart is fun, that is a signal. If it is tedious, that is a more useful signal.

Statics, dynamics, thermodynamics, circuits, materials — these are A-level Physics topics with calculus bolted on, not new subjects. Knowing which parts are genuinely new is the difference between choosing out of fear and choosing on the merits.
